BROOM TREE SISTERS PROGRAM

Confidential one on one support to women in need.

“Nothing is more gratifying than being a part of a community of like minded people who want the world to be a safe, happy place for everyone that walks it. I am so grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside so many amazing human beings. Honoured that I am amongst a circle of trust where we are all learning and growing together.

Become a trained volunteer and offer weekly support to women in need.

Our trained mentors provide confidential one on one support to women in need. We have trained 40 volunteers on topics of family violence, establishing/maintaining boundaries, grief/bereavement, initial contact, compassion and listening skills. Each volunteer is expected to meet with their designated Broom Tree Sister for one hour per week for no less than one year. We offer training to become a mentor 2-3 times a year.
